Quality, Testing & Certification
Testing & Type Approval Capabilities
Southern Ropes operates a fully accredited testing programme in accordance with ISO 2307, ISO 9554 and ISO 18264 standards. Break-load, splice and other performance tests are conducted on our state-of-the-art 300-ton calibrated test bed, providing full traceability from raw fibre through to finished product.
We are currently working with Bureau Veritas towards Mode 2 Type Approval for:
• D-Lite HMPE soft shackles — lifting certification
• Heavy-lifting and industrial HMPE assemblies — certification
In parallel, our HMPE mooring lines are being developed to meet OCIMF MEG4 requirements.
