Manufactured in a twelve strand plaited Dyneema® SK75 rope and coated with urethane rope guard, which increases the abrasion resistance and prolongs the life of the rope.The strands of the Spec-12 are made in a braided twelve strand construction which ensures a very balanced rope and increases the wear resistance and break loads when compared to twisted strands. Spec-12 is a floating rope and does not absorb water. Used for high performance lines and high load applications where ease of handling is important, and where wire rope usage is not desired or practical.
Spec 12 is easily spliced but a reinforced thimble is recommended due to the high tensile loading attributes
Characteristics: Safer than wire rope, lighter than wire rope, no wire splinters, does not kink and it floats. |

Twelve strand plaited Dyneema® SK75 core covered with 100% cover braid.
The 100% Dyneema® SK75 braided core is heat treated and set with a blended durathane bonding solution which enhances performance and reduces slippage between core and cover during high load applications. The cover is a wear resistant braid using high tenacity polyester. |
