These are manufactured using a combination of materials from Polyester through to Dyneema®.
Braided Polyester Leech Line
| Leech lines constructed from braided polyester is low stretch, maintains it’s round shape under load, and grips well in both clam and v-type jam cleats. They are ideal for Dacron type sails. The lighter polyester leech lines are also used in Spinnaker leeches where they provide additional support in gusty conditions. |

Dyneema® Light Leech Line
| This single braided line is constructed with polyester cover over a blended Dyneema / polyester core. Dyneema® Light leech line has little or no stretch when compared to a polyester line of equivalent diameter. It also retains its round shape, and grips well in a cleat. |

Spec – 12 Leech & Luff Line
| Pure braided Dyneema® has very little stretch, excellent strength to weight characteristics, and a very low co-efficient of friction (very important in leech or luff tabling).
It is commonly used in the luff of high performance asymmetrical spinnakers and as a leech line on large grand prix mainsails & spinnakers.
Note to Sail Makers: When using as a leech line on large mainsails consider securing the end of the leech line to a purchase line of Braided Titan. This will ensure that the line can be cleated. (Due to it’s extremely low co-efficient of friction Dyneema® should not be used in cleated applications.) |
